You wake up already thinking about everything that could go wrong today. You get through your to-do list, show up for the people who need you, and somehow hold it all together. But the moment things get quiet — in the car, in the shower, at 2am — your mind fills right back up. You’re not falling apart. But you’re tired of feeling like you’re one thing away from it.
“From the outside, I looked completely fine. I was working, showing up for everyone, handling responsibilities — but internally I felt constantly overwhelmed and exhausted. My mind never stopped. I replayed conversations, worried about everything, and couldn’t fully relax even when nothing was wrong.
Working with Dr. Tim was the first time I felt truly understood instead of judged. He helped me understand why my anxiety felt so constant and gave me practical tools that actually worked in real life. Slowly, I stopped feeling like I was always bracing for something bad to happen. I finally feel calmer, more present, and more like myself again.”
Dr. Tim creates a calm, judgment-free space where you don’t have to perform or explain yourself before you’re ready. He’s worked with clients who look completely put-together on the outside and are quietly exhausted on the inside. He won’t rush you, minimize what you’re feeling, or tell you to just think more positively. He’ll help you understand why your mind works the way it does — tracing it back to where it started — and give you a real, structured path to change it.

I’ve known Dr. Tim for over a decade, dating back to our UCLA graduate school years, and in that time I’ve watched him consistently lead with integrity, insight, and genuine care for people. What makes him stand out is that his knowledge of psychology and social work never feels performative or clinical for the sake of appearances. It feels lived, intentional, and deeply rooted in understanding people. He has helped me navigate difficult professional situations by offering perspective, accountability, and clarity that I genuinely would not have arrived at on my own. You don’t need to have the right words before you start. You can show up exactly as you are — tired, unsure, maybe a little skeptical even. What happens here isn’t just talking. You’ll learn how anxiety works in your brain and body — why it fires when it does, what keeps it running, and why willpower alone has never been enough to stop it. We’ll trace it back to where it started — the early experiences that taught your nervous system to stay on high alert. Then, step by step, we work through it using CBT, EMDR, and exposure-based techniques. You gradually face the things that have been keeping you stuck — at a pace that feels manageable, never overwhelming. Over time, the mental noise starts to quiet — not because you got lucky, but because you now understand the system and know exactly how to work with it.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. The only thing you need to do right now is take one small step.
A short form, a text, or an email. Done in under 2 minutes.
We listen, you ask questions, we figure out together if it's the right fit. Zero commitment, zero pressure.
Slowly, the noise gets quieter. The tension loosens. Over time, you get your energy — and yourself — back.
Anxiety isn't a personality flaw or a mindset issue. You'll learn exactly why your nervous system responds the way it does — and why that's been so hard to just "think" your way out of.
Sessions follow a clear framework. You'll always know what we're working on and why — no more leaving therapy wondering what the point was.
You'll learn to catch the thoughts that keep the anxiety loop going and build real skills to interrupt them before they spiral.
Through gradual, supported exposure work, you'll move through the things that have been keeping you small — one manageable step at a time.
Not just insight, but a real toolkit. Strategies you can use in the car, at your desk, at 2am — wherever anxiety shows up.
We are a private pay practice, which means we don’t bill insurance directly. Session fees are discussed during your free 10-minute call so you have full transparency before committing to anything. We do provide superbills — a receipt you can submit directly to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients are reimbursed a meaningful portion of their session cost this way.
That’s one of the most common things we hear — and it’s a fair concern. A lot of therapy is open-ended conversation with no clear structure or direction. The approach here is different at the foundation. We start by helping you understand why your brain learned to respond this way — tracing the origins back to early experiences that trained your nervous system to stay on high alert. From there, we can work on recalibrating that alarm system using CBT, exposure-based techniques, EFT, or EMDR — a clinically proven method that targets the specific memories where anxiety took root and helps your brain finally process and release them. It’s structured, it’s purposeful, and it’s fundamentally different from just talking about how you feel.
If it’s affecting your sleep, your relationships, your ability to be present, or your ability to simply enjoy your life — that is enough. You don’t have to be in crisis to deserve support. Many of the clients we work with look completely put-together on the outside. They’re managing, they’re capable, they’re showing up for everyone around them. But underneath, they’re exhausted from years of quietly carrying something nobody else can see. That’s not a small thing. And it doesn’t have to keep being your baseline.
We offer reduced session rates for active and veteran military, first responders, and medical staff. If this applies to you, simply mention it during your free consultation call and we’ll discuss what’s available.
We go entirely at your pace. Whether we’re working through gradual exposure, reframing thought patterns with CBT, or using EMDR to process the earlier experiences that first activated your anxiety — nothing happens faster than you’re ready for. The free 10-minute call before your first session is specifically so you can ask exactly these kinds of questions and decide with full information whether it’s the right fit. Most people feel a sense of relief just from that first conversation.
