About Diana

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Healing from trauma or navigating multiple challenges at once can feel overwhelming, especially when it begins to affect your daily life, relationships, and sense of stability. My work is centered on creating a space where you can feel safe, supported, and understood without judgment.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing co-occurring disorders, particularly those impacted by trauma. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, which means we move at a pace that feels manageable while building the skills needed to regain control and stability.

Using evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and EMDR, I help clients understand their patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop practical tools for long-term change. The goal is not just symptom relief, but helping you feel more grounded, aware, and capable in your everyday life.

//Clinical Approach

Evidence-based methods tailored to your needs

My approach combines structured, evidence-based therapies with a trauma-informed perspective. We focus on building practical skills, processing difficult experiences safely, and creating steady, meaningful progress over time.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we work to identify unhelpful patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding.

CBT for PTSD

This approach is specifically adapted for trauma, helping you process distressing memories while reducing triggers, avoidance, and emotional overwhelm.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT focuses on building skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness—helping you stay grounded during difficult moments.

EMDR (Trauma Processing)

EMDR supports the processing of traumatic experiences in a structured and guided way, helping reduce the emotional intensity connected to past events.

Veterans & PTSD

Trauma-Focused Care

My clinical journey began in an outpatient substance use treatment setting, where I worked closely with individuals navigating the early and often challenging stages of recovery. This experience provided a strong foundation in understanding how trauma, addiction, and mental health intersect in everyday life.

Over time, my work expanded to supporting justice-involved individuals facing co-occurring disorders, many of whom were working to rebuild stability while managing complex emotional and behavioral challenges. This work deepened my commitment to structured, trauma-informed care that meets clients where they are.

I have also had the privilege of working with veterans coping with PTSD, helping them process difficult experiences while building practical tools for daily functioning and long-term well-being. Across all of these settings, my focus has remained the same: creating a steady, supportive space where meaningful and lasting progress can take place.

//Leadership & Experience

Guiding clinical teams with structure, clarity, and care

In addition to my clinical work, I have taken on leadership roles that focus on supporting both clients and fellow clinicians. As one of the most experienced clinicians in my setting, I played an active role in training and mentoring new staff, helping them build confidence, develop clinical skills, and navigate the complexities of working with co-occurring disorders.

My responsibilities also included supporting clinic operations and workflow, ensuring that care remained consistent, structured, and effective across the team. This experience strengthened my ability to balance clinical insight with practical systems that support both providers and clients.

I later transitioned into a supervisory role, where I oversee clinicians and behavioral health specialists. In this role, I provide ongoing guidance, support clinical decision-making, and help maintain a high standard of care. These leadership experiences continue to shape how I approach therapy—bringing both structure and thoughtful attention to each client’s needs.

Clinician Training

//Clinical Focus

Specialized care for complex and layered challenges

My clinical focus is centered on supporting individuals facing complex mental health challenges, particularly where trauma and co-occurring conditions overlap. Rather than addressing symptoms in isolation, I take a structured and comprehensive approach that considers the full context of your experiences, patterns, and daily functioning.

This work is grounded in trauma-informed care, meaning we prioritize safety, pacing, and stability while gradually working through difficult experiences. At the same time, we focus on building practical tools that support long-term recovery—not just short-term relief.

The goal is to help you move toward a more stable, balanced, and functional life, where you feel more in control of your emotions, decisions, and day-to-day responsibilities.

Trauma-Informed Care

Creating a safe, structured environment where healing can happen at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

Co-Occurring Disorders

Addressing multiple challenges together—such as trauma, substance use, anxiety, or depression—in a coordinated and effective way.

Long-Term Recovery

Focusing on sustainable progress, helping you build habits and tools that support lasting change beyond therapy sessions.
