Couples therapy can still be very helpful, even when things feel stuck or hopeless. At my Dublin-based practice, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps uncover the emotional patterns and fears underneath the distance, creating more safety to talk about pain, fear, and disconnection. You’re welcome to choose the format that fits your life best, or to use a mix of in-person and online sessions when that’s helpful.

In anxiety treatment at my Dublin, CA office (and online), you can expect a warm, collaborative space where we get curious about how anxiety shows up in your body, thoughts, and relationships. We might use CBT tools to work with worry, racing thoughts, or panic, and EFT to explore how anxiety connects to feelings of insecurity, past experiences, or relationship stress. Early sessions usually focus on understanding your patterns, understanding how anxiety shows up as a survival mechanism, and helping you feel more grounded day to day with a step-by-step plan. Over time, we also work on the deeper roots of your anxiety so that relief feels more stable and lasting.

Yes! I offer online anxiety therapy for clients who live in Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore, and many other nearby communities. Sessions are held over secure video, so you can meet from home, work, or another private space without having to fight traffic or rearrange your entire day. We can use the same mix of CBT and EFT online that we would in person, exploring triggers, learning how to recalibrate your anxiety responses, and looking at how anxiety affects your relationships, work, or daily life. Many people find online sessions just as effective and often more convenient. Many also prefer a hybrid option, a mix of in-person and online.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) both help with anxiety, but they focus on different things. CBT works mainly with your thoughts and behaviors while challenging anxious thinking patterns, facing fears, facing anxiety-provoking situations gradually, and building practical coping strategies. EFT looks at how anxiety is tied to emotional safety, attachment needs, and relationship patterns, helping you feel more secure with yourself and with important people in your life. In my Dublin practice, I often blend both: CBT for concrete tools and symptom relief, and EFT to address the underlying emotional and relational pieces that keep anxiety coming back.
