About Dr. Pollie Bith-Melander

I help individuals and couples to break free from societal pressures and cultural & traditional factors that thwart their abilities to thrive.

I believe that people have the potential to live their fullest lives regardless of their

past experiences. Every person can thrive with the right kind of support/environment. I use

both Narrative and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies to help individuals, couples, and

families understand the uniqueness of a situation they find themselves in. My research

on people who experienced both complex and physical trauma informs me of my

approach, making sure that we fully understand and focus on the cause of the problem,

including the symptoms that they are experiencing. I view each individual person

holistically with care/treatment based on collaborative process with me and the person

who seeks help.

Your Credentials & Personal Note:

I am an associate clinical social worker (ACSW) and have completed the 3000 hours

required to sit in for an LSCW exam. Outside of work, I like to cook and am avid

gardener. I grow edibles and flowers in my front and back yards.
